About Sarah

With over 20 years’ experience working with adolescents and adults, it gives me great joy to witness positive change in the face of adversity and suffering. I have a strong interest in helping people draw the links they need to make sense of lifelong and everyday difficulties.
This desire has led me to training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy. I have also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
From early beginnings as an ESL high school teacher in remote Arnhem Land to many years across forensic settings, I have enjoyed the transition to clinical psychology and working with both young people and adults.
It is important for me to create a place of rest and comfort so clients can mobilise for change. A strong therapeutic connection is the cornerstone of being able to explore and move away from unhelpful patterns in our relationships and the stuckness we can feel with life’s difficulties.
I am available to complete assessments and provide reports on a range of concerns, including ADHD, fitness for work, personality and a wide variety of forensic issues from minor traffic offences to serious offending. I work across the life span and am comfortable working with mood disorders, complex personality presentations, forensic issues, family and parent/child conflict, work difficulties, eating and body concerns, and adjustment concerns in relation to life’s significant and everyday milestones.
